Research Agronomist, Laura Sayre, talks food with ULTRA and FIU Agroecology students
In February 2012, Laura Sayre, researcher for the French National Institute for Agronomic Research, met with ULTRA and FIU's Agroecology and Global & Sociocultural Studies departments to discuss the role of campus farms and gardens and urban agriculture projects.

The Little Haiti garden takes full advantage of Miami's tropical climate, growing bananas, papayas, pidgeon peas, and other crops that flourish in the heat and humidity.
